Tallest Tower of Dubai |
Bhurj Khalifa
Address : 1 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd, Dubai , United Arab Emirates
In beginning of the year 2004, excavation work began for Burj Khalifa and over the ensuing years to its completion, the building passed many important milestones on its goal to become the tallest man-made structure the world has ever seen. In just 1,325 days and almost 12,000 workers and contractors were on site everyday for Burj Khalifa to became the tallest free-standing structure in the world.
Burj Khalifa lifts the world's head proudly skywards, surpassing limits and expectations. Rising gracefully from the desert and honouring Dubai with a new glow. Burj Khalifa is at the heart of Dubai and its people, the centre for the world's finest shopping, dining and entertainment and home for the world's elite.
Bhurj Khalifa is tallest tower in Dubai with 828m height and 163 floors.Bhurj Khalifa was constructed in 2010. Concourse level to level 8 and level 38 and 39 will feature the Armani Hotel Dubai, one of the famous Hotel in Dubai. Levels 9 to 16 will exclusively house luxurious one and two bedroom Armani Residences.
The tower is composed of three elements arranged around a central core. The modular, Y-shaped structure, with setbacks along each of its three wings provides an inherently stable configuration for the structure and provides good floor plates for residential. The spiralling “Y” shaped plan was utilized to shape the structural core of Burj Khalifa. This design helps to reduce the wind forces on the tower, as well as to keep the structure simple and foster constructability. Twenty-six helical levels decrease the cross section of the tower incrementally as it spirals skyward. The top four floors have been reserved for communications and broadcasting.
For the protection and the facility even influenced by culture and religion ,few things are prohibited such as Alcohol,Knives,Fireworks,Chemical weapons etc.
